Exam Countdown — Privacy Policy

Exam Countdown is a home-screen exam-countdown app for students, published by BotSquash. This policy explains how the app handles your information.

1. Data We Collect

None. Exam Countdown does not collect any personal data.

• The app has no account or login.
• We run no servers. There is nowhere for us to send your data, and we don't.
• The exams, reminder times, notes, and settings you enter are stored only on your own device. They never leave your phone unless you choose to export a backup yourself.
• The app shows no ads and contains no advertising or analytics SDK.

2. Purchases (Exam Countdown Pro)

The optional one-time Pro unlock is sold through Google Play Billing. If you buy it:

• The payment is handled entirely by Google Play, not by us. We never see or store your card details, billing address, or any payment information.
• The app asks Google Play whether this device owns the Pro unlock and remembers the yes/no answer on your device. That answer is the only purchase-related thing the app stores, and it is not sent anywhere.
• Google's own handling of the transaction is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.

Because Google Play Billing is bundled in the app, the app requests the Internet permission. It is used by Google's billing and in-app review components only — Exam Countdown itself makes no network requests, and your exams, notes and reminders still never leave your device.

4. Backups & Sharing

• Export backup copies your countdowns to your device clipboard so you can save them yourself. What you do with that text is up to you.
• The Share countdown feature creates an image on your device and hands it to Android's share sheet only when you tap Share and choose an app. Exam Countdown itself does not upload or send the image anywhere.

The app collects no data from anyone, including children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app means you accept the current policy.
