Travel times come from the scheduled timetable in the data used by Cyprus Bus - Times & Routes, not from the operators. Traffic changes them, so leave slack if you have a connection to make.
Larnaca Airport to Larnaca town
Several Larnaca city lines start at the airport and run into town, most of them to Larnaca Station and one to the Old Hospital stop. Between them there are many departures a day. The route page lists each line and its times. The reverse trip is on Larnaca to Larnaca Airport.
These are normal public buses run by Cyprus Public Transport (CPT), so normal fares apply. CPT lists a one-way urban ticket at €2.70 in cash or €2.00 on a Motion card, with a higher night fare from 21:00 to 04:00. CPT also lists a vending machine at Larnaca Airport where you can top up a Motion card by bank card. Fares and card types are explained in how much is the bus in Cyprus.
Plans bus trips anywhere in Cyprus across every operator, with fares, live departures and offline timetables.
Get it on Google PlayFree, with a small banner ad on trip results, stop departures and timetables. Pro removes the ads and adds Commute Watch, line alerts, unlimited saved trips, stops and reminders, and a home-screen widget. It is a monthly or yearly subscription, with a 7-day pass for short visits. People who bought the older one-time Pro keep it.
Cyprus Bus - Times & Routes plans the whole trip from the airport, including changes between operators and the walk between stops. Type "Larnaca Airport" and where you are going. Ride mode sounds an alarm two stops and one stop before you get off, which helps on an unfamiliar route.
Larnaca Airport to Nicosia with Kapnos
Kapnos says it started the island's first fixed-schedule airport shuttle between Nicosia and Larnaca Airport in 2008. It is the direct way into the capital. The coach runs from the airport to the Kapnos Nicosia Station on Kyrenias Avenue, and the Larnaca Airport to Nicosia page lists its departures, including late-night ones. For the trip back, see Nicosia to Larnaca Airport.
Larnaca Airport to Ayia Napa and Protaras
Kapnos added a route between Larnaca Airport and the Famagusta area, Ayia Napa and Protaras, in 2018. Its FAQ warns that routes and times change with the seasons. In the timetable data behind our Ayia Napa page, this route has no departures after 15 November 2026. Outside the season, check Kapnos directly before you rely on it.
If the shuttle is not running, there are intercity and Famagusta district buses between Larnaca town and Ayia Napa. See Larnaca to Ayia Napa.
Booking and riding the Kapnos shuttle
Kapnos is a private airport shuttle with its own tickets. These points come from its FAQ:
- Buying tickets. Online by credit card, up to 1 hour before departure, or in person by cash or card from Kapnos staff at Nicosia Shuttle Station, Larnaca Airport, Paphos Airport and the Ayia Napa Nissi Avenue stop.
- Price. It depends on the route and pick-up point, and is shown when you start a booking. As listed in our 17 Oct 2026 timetable snapshot, Larnaca Airport to Nicosia was €10 one way (route page) and Larnaca Airport to Ayia Napa €13 (route page). Check the current price with Kapnos. Child fares apply up to 11.99 years old.
- Luggage. A standard ticket includes one 20 kg bag and one carry-on up to 8 kg. Extra bags, sports equipment and pets can be added.
- Delayed flights. Buses leave on time and do not wait for late flights. If you miss your booked bus, the ticket stays valid for the next departure the same day, if there is one.
- Leaving time for arrivals. Kapnos asks you to book a bus that leaves at least 10 minutes after you expect to exit the airport.
- Changes. Online tickets can be cancelled for a refund or have the date and time changed up to 24 hours before departure. The FAQ mentions a €1 cancellation fee.
- No ticket. Kapnos says travelling without a valid ticket carries a €100 fine.
Larnaca Airport to Paphos
Kapnos says it expanded the airport shuttle to Paphos Airport in 2015, with daily departures between Nicosia, Larnaca and Paphos Airport. In the timetable data the app uses, this is Kapnos line K2, running direct between Larnaca Airport and Paphos Airport in about 105 minutes. Its departure times change from day to day, so check the date you are travelling on the Kapnos booking page.
From Paphos Airport, Paphos city buses run into town. See Paphos Airport to Paphos for the lines and times.
If the shuttle times do not suit you, the slower public-bus route is a city bus into Larnaca, the intercity bus to Limassol, and then the intercity bus from Limassol to Paphos.
Larnaca Airport to Limassol
This is one of the trips people search for most, and there is no direct public bus for it in the data Cyprus Bus - Times & Routes uses. The public-transport route is:
- Take a city bus from the airport into Larnaca.
- Take the intercity bus from Larnaca to Limassol. See Larnaca to Limassol for the line, boarding stop and times.
The intercity stop in Larnaca is not always the same stop where the airport bus drops you, so check both stops before you set off. An app that plans the full trip, with the walk between stops, saves guesswork here.
Private shuttle and transfer companies also run airport to Limassol services. They are outside the public timetable, so book them directly with the company.
Coming back to the airport
For a flight, Kapnos asks you to arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure from April to October and at least 90 minutes from November to March, and to pick your bus with that in mind. The same margin is sensible on a city bus. The reverse timetables are on Larnaca to Larnaca Airport and Ayia Napa to Larnaca Airport. For live departures, see the Cyprus bus app guide.
