Effective date: 7 October 2026
Snoutday turns short clips of your pet into a daily vlog, published by BotSquash. This policy explains how the app handles your information. Short version: no account. Your clips and vlogs stay on your device and are never uploaded by us. The free version shows ads from Unity Ads, which collects your advertising ID and some device data under its own policy. The app has no analytics or crash reporting of its own. Details below.
Snoutday asks for camera and microphone access the first time you record a clip. They are used only while you are recording, to capture the clip and its sound. The recording is saved on your device. Snoutday does not upload it, and does not listen or record in the background. You can turn either permission off at any time in Android settings; you can still import clips from your gallery without them.
To add existing clips, Snoutday uses the Android system Photo Picker. You choose the clips and only those are shared with the app. Snoutday does not ask for permission to read all your photos and videos.
If you turn reminders on, Snoutday asks for notification permission and shows reminders at the times you choose. These are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push service or server is involved.
The free version shows an interstitial ad after you share or save a vlog. Ads are provided by Unity Ads (Unity Technologies). To show ads, the Unity SDK may collect your advertising ID, device and network information, app interactions (such as ad impressions and taps) and diagnostic information, and may share them with ad partners, for advertising, analytics and fraud prevention. This data goes to Unity, not to us. It is described in Unity's privacy policy.
This version of Snoutday has no analytics and no crash-reporting service of its own. If that changes in a future version, this policy will be updated before the change is released, and the "Effective date" above will change. Google Play itself may give us aggregated, anonymous statistics such as installs and crash counts.
The optional Snoutday Pro upgrade is sold as an auto-renewing subscription, monthly or yearly, through Google Play Billing. The yearly plan may include a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. We never see or store your card or payment details; Google Play processes the payment and keeps the record of your purchase. The Settings screen offers "Restore purchases" if you reinstall or switch phones. Snoutday keeps no account and no copy of your purchases on any server of its own. How to cancel and what renewal means are in the Terms of Use.
Snoutday itself holds no personal data about you: no account, no server-side profile. Data handled by Unity (ads) and Google (billing) is processed by them under their policies. You have the right of access, erasure, objection and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In Cyprus that is the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection. For data held by Unity or Google, use their own privacy controls; for anything else contact us below.
Snoutday is not directed at children and is intended for people aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the app, contact us and uninstall it.
If this policy changes, the "Effective date" above will change. Continued use of the app means you accept the current policy.
