Wake Orchard Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
The short version
Your alarms, trees, wake-up history and settings are stored only on your phone. We do not run a server and we have no account system. The free version shows ads from Unity Ads, which uses your phone's advertising ID.
What stays on your phone
- Alarm times, labels, sounds and mission settings.
- Your orchard: trees, growth stages, streaks and wake-up history.
- If you use the photo mission, the reference photo you take. It is saved in the app's private storage and compared on your phone. It is never uploaded.
- Step counts for the steps mission are read from your phone's step sensor during the mission only and are not stored.
Deleting the app deletes all of this.
Ads (free version)
The free version shows ads served by Unity Ads (Unity Technologies). Ads are never shown while an alarm is ringing or during a wake-up mission. Unity may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, device model and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads. When you first open the app we ask whether Unity may show personalised ads; you can change this at any time in Settings > Ads. You can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your phone's Android settings.

Purchases
Wake Orchard Pro is sold through Google Play. Google handles payment; we never see your card details. The app only asks Google Play whether your subscription is active.
Permissions
- Alarms and reminders, full-screen notifications, notifications: to ring on time and show the alarm over the lock screen.
- Physical activity: only if you choose the steps mission.
- Camera (through the system camera): only if you choose the photo mission.
- Battery settings: no special permission. The app can open your phone's battery settings so you can exempt Wake Orchard yourself, so battery savers do not stop your alarm.
Children
Wake Orchard is not directed at children under 13.
