Tuition Tab is a client book for private tutors - students, recurring lessons, attendance, payments and outstanding balances - published by BotSquash. This policy explains how the app handles information. Short version: no account, no login, and no analytics of our own. Every student, lesson and payment you record stays in a database on your own device - it is never uploaded to us, and we never see it. From version 1.2.0 the free version shows a small banner ad from Unity Ads; Tuition Tab Pro subscribers see no ads.
None, ourselves. The app has no account, no login, and no servers of its own.
From version 1.2.0 the free version of Tuition Tab shows one small banner ad from Unity Ads (Unity Technologies), on the Owed and Students tabs only. It is never shown in full screen. Tuition Tab Pro subscribers see no ads; once Google Play has confirmed your subscription, the ad SDK is not started.
In the free version, the Unity SDK may collect and process:
Unity may share this data with its ad partners, for advertising, measurement, analytics and fraud prevention. This data goes to Unity, not to us. Your students, lessons, payments and notes are never shared with Unity. See Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.
Tuition Tab is a record-keeping tool, so the information you enter is usually about other people - your students, or their parents. That information is treated exactly like everything else in the app: it stays on your device, it is never transmitted to us or to Unity, and we have no ability to read it.
Because you are the one holding that information, you remain responsible for it. Enter only what you actually need, and keep your device locked. If you are subject to data-protection rules such as the UK/EU GDPR in your tutoring work, note that the records live on your device and are yours to manage - you can edit or permanently delete any student, lesson, or payment from within the app at any time.
The app does not use camera, location, contacts or microphone.
It holds the INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE
permissions. Tuition Tab's own features work fully offline. The app uses the internet
for two things: loading the Unity Ads banner in the free version (see above), and
Google Play Billing, which handles the optional Pro subscription. No student or
business data is sent as part of either: every feature that records or shows your
data works with no network at all, and the app has no server to talk to.
Payments in Tuition Tab are your own bookkeeping notes - an amount, a date, and an optional method label such as "cash" or "bank transfer". The app does not process payments, does not connect to any payment provider, and never asks for or stores card, bank, or account details.
Tuition Tab Pro is an optional subscription (monthly or yearly) that unlocks unlimited students and invoice/receipt PDF export, and removes ads. Everything else - your schedule, attendance, payments, balances and your backup - stays free.
It is sold and processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We never see or receive your card or payment details; Google does not tell us who you are. The app stores only a local flag on your device recording that the subscription is active. Manage or cancel it in your Google Play account.
Tuition Tab is a general-audience business tool for tutors running their own practice, not directed at or marketed to children, and it is not intended to be used by students themselves. Tutors may record information about students who are minors; that information stays on the tutor's device under the terms above and is never transmitted to us or to Unity.
Deleting a record removes it from the app. Uninstalling Tuition Tab removes the entire database from your device. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf - and equally, uninstalling without a backup is permanent. For data held by Unity, reset your advertising ID as described above or contact Unity through its privacy policy.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the app means you accept the current policy.
