Tailor Khata (দর্জি খাতা, formerly listed as Tailor Book) is a measurement, order
and ledger app for tailors and boutiques, published by BotSquash. This policy explains what
information the app handles and who receives it.
Short version: there is no account and no login. Your customers' names, phone
numbers, addresses, photos, measurements, orders and payments stay on your own phone; we never
receive them. The free version shows ads from Unity Ads; Tailor Pro has no ads.
Your shop's data (stored on your device)
The app has no account, no login and no servers of its own.
Customer records (name, phone, address, note), measurements, orders, payments, photos you
attach, your shop profile (shop name, phone, address, receipt terms) and your shop logo are
stored only in a local database and local files on your device.
We do not see, receive or store any of this data. It leaves your phone only when
you share something yourself: a backup file, a PDF receipt or measurement slip, a CSV
export, or an SMS/WhatsApp message (see below).
The app has no analytics or crash-reporting SDK of its own. The third-party SDKs that
send data off the device are Google Play Billing, for Tailor Pro purchases, and Unity Ads in
the free version (see below). Neither receives your shop's records.
Ads (free version only)
The free version of Tailor Khata shows ads from Unity Ads (Unity
Technologies): a small banner and, at most a few times a day, a full-screen ad after you share a
receipt. No ads are shown the first time you use the app. The Unity SDK may collect your
advertising ID, device and network information, approximate location derived
from your IP address, and ad interaction data, and may share it with its ad partners, for
advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. This data goes to Unity, not to us. See
Unity's Game Player and
App User Privacy Policy.
Personalised ads are off until you agree. The app asks once, and you can
change your answer at any time in Settings, Personalised ads. When it is off, Unity
shows non-personalised ads only.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Privacy, Ads).
Tailor Pro has no ads: for Pro users the ad SDK is not started at all.
Subscriptions and purchases (Google Play Billing)
Tailor Pro is sold as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription (the
yearly plan may include a free trial), processed entirely by Google Play Billing.
We never see or store your card or payment details.
A subscription renews automatically until you cancel it. You can cancel or manage it at any
time in the Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions.
The app stores a small local record on your device of which Pro plan is active, so Pro
keeps working when you are offline for a short time.
Anyone who bought the earlier one-time Pro unlock keeps Pro for life; the app restores it
from Google Play automatically.
Backup and restore
You can export all your data as a single backup file (.dkb) and share it through
any app you choose (WhatsApp, email, cloud storage and so on) or save it to your phone's storage.
The app never uploads your backup anywhere itself. It only hands the file to the destination you
pick through Android's share sheet or file picker.
The backup file is not encrypted. It contains your customers' names, phone
numbers, addresses, your shop logo and (if included) photos in readable form. Share it only
through channels you trust.
Restoring a backup replaces your current data after you confirm. The app keeps a local safety
copy of your earlier data first.
Photos and shop logo
Photos you attach to an order or customer, and the shop logo you pick for your receipts, are
compressed and saved in the app's own private storage on your device. They are not uploaded
anywhere. The logo is printed on the PDF receipts and slips you create and is included in your
backup file; order photos are included in a backup only if you choose "include photos".
Messages, PDFs and CSV files
The SMS and WhatsApp buttons open your phone's own Messages app or WhatsApp with the message
filled in. The app does not send messages itself and never reads your contacts, call log or
message history. PDF receipts, measurement slips and CSV reports are created on your phone and
shared only through the share sheet when you choose to.
Permissions
Internet / network state: used to talk to Google Play Billing and, in the free version, Unity Ads. Your shop's records are never sent over the network by the app.
Photo picker / camera: used only when you choose to attach a photo or pick
a logo.
Notifications: for the optional daily delivery reminder, created entirely
on your device.
Advertising ID: used by Unity Ads in the free version (see above).
The app does not use precise location, contacts or the microphone.
Children
The app is a business tool for shop owners. It is not directed at children, and it is not
meant to be used by anyone under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the app
means you accept the current policy.
