Plant Care: Watering Reminder is a plant-watering reminder app published by BotSquash. This policy explains what the app does with information. Short version: your plants, photos and notes never leave your phone. The app has no account and no login. If you choose to allow it, the app shares anonymous usage, crash and ad-measurement data with Google and Meta - and it asks you first.
Everything you put into the app is stored only in the app's private storage on your device: plant names, watering and care schedules, care history, notes, photos, reminder settings and your theme choice. None of this is ever sent to us, to Google or to Meta - not even when data sharing is allowed.
If you tap Allow, the app uses three services. We use them to understand whether the app is working and useful, to fix crashes, and to measure whether our ads bring people who actually use the app.
These providers may process data on servers outside your country, including outside the EU/UK, under their own safeguards for international transfers. Data is kept only as long as needed for the purposes above, according to each provider's retention settings.
For users in the EU and UK, the optional data sharing above relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time in Settings > Privacy. You can also reset or delete your device's advertising ID in your phone's Android settings (Settings > Privacy > Ads). You have the right to ask for access to, or deletion of, data about you. Because the app has no account, we cannot link data to you by name - email us with your request and we will help as far as the providers allow.
Photos you attach to a plant, including photo-timeline photos, are copied into the app's private storage on your device and are never uploaded. They only leave the device if you export a backup yourself.
Plant Care Pro lets you export your plant list as a single backup file, which you share or save wherever you choose using Android's own share sheet or file picker. The app never uploads your backup anywhere itself. Restoring a backup replaces your current plant list after you confirm.
Widgets and care reminders are calculated and scheduled entirely on your device from the plant list already stored in the app. No reminder content passes through any server.
Plant Care Pro is a one-time purchase sold and processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We never see or store your card or payment details. The app only stores a flag on your device recording that Pro is active.
The app does not show ads. The Meta SDK described above is used only to measure our own advertising of the app, not to display ads inside it.
Plant Care is a general-audience app and is not directed at children.
If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes to what is collected will be reflected here and in the Google Play Data Safety section before the app version that makes them is published.
