Focus Timer — Privacy Policy

Focus Timer is an offline Pomodoro-style focus timer, published by BotSquash. This policy explains how the app handles information. Short version: no account, no login, no ads, no analytics or tracking SDK of any kind. Every focus session, tag, and setting you enter stays on your own device — it is never uploaded to us, and we never see it.

Data we collect directly

None.

• The app has no account or login.
• Every focus/break session — including any optional tag you type — plus your cycle-length settings and daily-reminder preference are stored only on your own device. They are never uploaded to us and never leave your phone.
• We do not see, receive, or store any of this data.
• The app does not use analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs.
• The app does not use the advertising ID and contains no ad network — there are no ads anywhere in Focus Timer, free or paid.

Sharing your stats card (Pro)

Focus Timer Pro lets you export your stats screen as an image and share it through Android's own share sheet (to whatever app you pick — Messages, WhatsApp, Instagram, email, etc.). That image is generated and handed to the share sheet entirely on your device; Focus Timer itself never uploads it anywhere or sees where you send it.

Permissions

• Notifications: used to alert you when a focus or break session ends, and for the optional daily reminder if you turn it on. Entirely local to your device — no notification content is ever sent to or generated by a server.
• Internet / network state: used only by Google Play Billing to process the one-time Pro purchase (see below). The app makes no other network requests — no analytics calls, no ad requests, nothing else.
• The app does not use location, camera, contacts, microphone, or any cross-app identifier.

Home-screen widget

The optional home-screen widget shows today's focused time and your current streak. It reads this from the same local database the app uses and does not transmit anything off your device.

In-app purchase

Focus Timer Pro (a one-time unlock of stats sharing) is sold and processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We never see or store your card or payment details. The app only stores a local flag on your device recording that the unlock is active.

Children

The app collects no personal data from anyone, including children. It is a general-audience productivity tool, not directed at or marketed to children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the app means you accept the current policy.
