Faraiz Calculator (ফারায়েজ ক্যালকুলেটর) is an offline Islamic inheritance calculator, published by BotSquash. This policy explains how the app handles your information. Short version: no account and no login, and your calculations and saved cases never leave your phone. The free version shows a small banner ad from Unity Ads on the home screen; the one-time unlock removes it.

Faraiz Calculator has no servers of its own and never receives your data. It has no account. It uses Internet access for Google Play Billing (the optional one-time unlock) and, in the free version, for the Unity Ads banner described below.

Data we collect directly

None.

The app has no account or login.
The estate details, heir information, and any saved cases you enter are stored only on your own device. They are never uploaded to us and never leave your phone.
We do not see, receive, or store the inheritance calculations you run.
The app has no analytics or crash-reporting SDK of its own. The only third-party SDK that collects data is Unity Ads, in the free version (see Ads).

Ads (free version only)

The free version shows one small banner ad from Unity Ads (Unity Technologies) at the bottom of the home screen. Ads never appear on the results screen or while you enter an estate, and there are no full-screen ads. No ads are shown the first time you use the app. Ads for apps rated 17+ are blocked for this app. The Unity SDK may collect your advertising ID, device and network information, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data, and may share it with its ad partners, for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. This data goes to Unity, not to us, and never includes your estate, heirs or calculations. See Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

Personalised ads are off unless you turn them on in Settings, Personalised ads.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Privacy, Ads).
The one-time unlock removes ads: for unlocked users the ad SDK is not started at all.

Permissions

Internet / network state: used by Google Play Billing for the optional one-time unlock and, in the free version, by Unity Ads. The calculator itself works fully offline, and your calculations are never sent anywhere.
Advertising ID: used by Unity Ads in the free version only.
Billing: lets Google Play process the optional one-time unlock.
The app does not use GPS location, contacts, camera or microphone.

In-app purchases

The one-time unlock (PDF export or the estate document, saved cases beyond the free limit, and no ads; priced in your currency as shown by Google Play) is sold and processed through Google Play Billing. We never see or store your card or payment details. The app only stores a local flag on your device recording that the unlock is active.

PDF export

The PDF report is created and saved entirely on your device. Sharing it happens only when you tap Share and choose an app - the app itself does not upload the PDF anywhere.

Accuracy & scholarly review

This app performs Hanafi Faraiz calculations validated against a documented test suite, and flags edge cases (missing heirs, disputed situations, etc.) for you to consult a qualified scholar rather than showing a possibly-wrong number. The app is a calculation aid, not a fatwa - please confirm important decisions with a qualified alim.

Children

Faraiz Calculator is a general-audience adult tool (inheritance/estate calculation), not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change. Continued use of the app means you accept the current policy.
