Construction Calc - Privacy Policy

Construction Calc is an offline trade calculator app, published by BotSquash. This policy explains how the app handles information. Short version: no account and no login. Every calculation and job you save is stored only on your own device - it is never uploaded to us. The free version shows ads from Unity Ads; Pro has no ads.

Data we collect directly

None.

• The app has no account or login and asks for no personal information. Every job name, calculation input, and result you save is stored only in local app storage on your device - we never see or receive it.
• The app has no analytics or crash-reporting SDK of its own. The only third-party SDK that collects data is Unity Ads, in the free version (see Ads).

Calculators

Every calculator and estimator (concrete, tile, paint, drywall, blocks & bricks, stairs, roof, area & volume, right angle, board feet) runs entirely on your device. No dimension, measurement, or result you enter is ever sent anywhere.

Saved jobs & sharing (Pro feature)

The one-time Pro unlock lets you keep more than one saved job and share a job's materials list as text. Sharing is entirely under your control:

• The app itself never uploads or transmits your jobs or materials lists anywhere - it only hands the text to whatever destination you pick via Android's own share sheet (e.g. WhatsApp, SMS, email).
• Deleting a job or calculation removes it from your device immediately and permanently.

Permissions

• Internet: used by Google Play Billing for the optional Pro unlock and, in the free version, by Unity Ads. Your jobs and calculations are never sent anywhere.
• Advertising ID: used by Unity Ads in the free version only.
• The app does not use GPS location, camera, contacts, microphone or notifications.

Ads (free version only)

The free version shows ads from Unity Ads (Unity Technologies): a small banner on the home screen (never on a calculator) and, at most a few times a day, a full-screen ad right after you save a calculation to a job - never while you are working out a number. No ads are shown the first time you use the app. The Unity SDK may collect your advertising ID, device and network information, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interaction data, and may share it with its ad partners, for advertising, measurement and fraud prevention. This data goes to Unity, not to us. See Unity's Game Player and App User Privacy Policy.

• Personalised ads are off until you agree. The app asks once, and you can change your answer any time from the home screen menu, Personalised ads.
• You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android settings (Privacy, Ads).
• Construction Calc Pro has no ads: for Pro users the ad SDK is not started at all.

In-app purchase

The one-time Construction Calc Pro unlock (product id construction_calc_pro, priced in your local currency as shown by Google Play - unlimited saved jobs, materials-list sharing and no ads) is sold and processed entirely through Google Play Billing. We never see or store your card or payment details. The app only stores a local flag on your device recording that the unlock is active.

Children

Construction Calc is a general-audience trade tool, not directed at or marketed to children, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will change to reflect what's actually collected at that time. Continued use of the app means you accept the current policy.
